California Industrial Development Financing Advisory Commission
The California Industrial Development Financing Advisory Commission (CIDFAC) was created to advise local governments and independently review tax-exempt industrial development bond (IDB) applications that are used for public benefit. IDBs are tax-exempt securities issued on behalf of a private company to provide money for the acquisition, construction and rehabilitation of facilities or the purchase of equipment.
Empowerment Zone Bonds
This program is operated under the Community Renewal Tax Relief Act of 2000. The statute expanded the scope and dollar limit for the issuance of Industrial Development Bonds (IDBs) in federally designated Empowerment Zones.
Industrial Development Bond Financing Program
CIDFAC assists California businesses by providing access to low-cost, tax-exempt industrial development bond (IDB) financing for capital expenditures.
