Business advocacy is the reason the Office of Business Development was created. We operate on the principle that no two businesses are alike, and that a one-size-fits-all approach isn't necessarily right for every business.
When needed, OBD provides the assistance of a dedicated staff member to businesses in need of guidance when navigating the often overwhelming task of starting, expanding or relocating a business. Our team connects businesses to resources both inside and outside of City Hall, often helping to remove barriers to understanding and action and creating opportunities for businesses to be up and running.
Examples include the assistance with the overall development process starting from the conceptual stage, financing options, networking, professional development and various support services. No idea or question is too big, too small or less important than another.
